Na današnji dan, 11. prosinca 1968. godine snimljen je “The Rolling Stones Rock And Roll Circus”, svojevrsni peti album britanske rock-grupe The Rolling Stones, koji je nakon prekida suradnje s grupom objavila izdavačka kuća ABKCO.
Sniman je samo pet dana nakon izlaska albuma “Beggars Banquet” (6. prosinca) i trebao je poslužiti kao njegova promidžba. No silno nezadovoljstvo benda snimljenim materijalom rezultiralo je odustajanjem od izdavanja albuma te godine. Album je ipak izašao, ali tek 1996. (14. listopada), gotovo trideset godina nakon nastanka.
Specijalno za tu prigodu John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards i Mitch Mitchell udružili su se i pod nazivom The Dirty Mac odsvirali dvije pjesme. To je i prvi album The Rolling Stonesa koji originalno nije bio objavljen na gramofonskoj ploči, već samo na CD-u.
Produkciju albuma potpisuju Jimmy Miller, Jody Klein i Lenne Allik.
